Summer 2018, on the first day of SunTrust Robinson Humphrey intern training, Sarah and Steven sat next to each other thanks to alphabetical assigned seats. They spoke about 10 words to each other.

Fast forward to summer 2021, the couple had their first conversation, naturally comparing notes on their experiences managing interns after running into each other at a bar. When Sarah left the firm in early fall, Kendall (maid of honor and Steven's close coworker) let Sarah know that it would be "well received" if Steven were BCC'ed on her farewell email, including personal contact info.

Steven asked Sarah on their first date to the State Fair - he wanted to show his "range" outside of work. Thanks to quite a bit of Atlanta traffic, Steven and Sarah were able to get to know each other personally, and the rest was history.
